The Problem
Introduction
Even bookworms find ways digging into inputs and finding easiest ways towards its contents- same as human into records. The opening of the school year is an annual tedious task for both teachers and school administrators, specifically, the school registrar. In this case, records need to be stored and input into a form convenient for retrieval and future uses. The main problem to be faced is a strive for efficient enrollment system which will allow a faster and more reliable process of annual enrolment. In this case, a database for enrolment system is indeed, a necessity.
A database management system is a collection of computer software that allows the users to connect to databases. In addition, it also gives provision to analyze the data through software applications. It was responsible for preserving the integrity, keeping the stored data safe and can retrieve the information in case of system failures (Scitechnol, 2018). Moreover, Philip Howard (2018, Nov. 5), emphasize the capability of the database management system to store and manage data by providing facilities. Many databases wanted to support declarative access as the major feature of the management aspect. This allows programs to access the data without defining how it can be achieved. In relation with the latter study made by the STEM students from DJAPMNHS, they proposed a computerized student record management system which aims to eliminate the practice of time consuming and primitive tradition of manual maintenance of getting student records.
DJAPMNHS is still doing the manual system like submitting the requirements to the Registrar’s office and there is only one personnel who was assigned to process all the documents of the students. This is the factor that make the process of enrollment inconvenient, lack of manpower in the Registrar’s office. Since internet is the easiest means to access information, a software, specifically an internet-based enrollment and admission form, can make this process less time consuming and easier for both the administrator and the enrollees.
As a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students, the researchers aim to speed up the process of enrollment of the students by constructing an Online Enrollment System using Google Forms. The proponents of this study will develop and make an online enrollment system that will provide a reliable and internet-based enrollment and admission to Senior High School of DJAPMNHS. The form will be answered by the enrollees while the responses will be monitored by the administrator. This software can be accessed by all the enrollees for Senior High School in DJAPMNHS only. This project may help to make the process of enrollment faster and convenient for both the school administrators and the students.

Statement of the Problem

What are the hardware and software requirements in the construction and implementation phases of an Online Enrollment System?

What would be the significant contributions of an Online Enrollment System in Senior High School of DJAPMNHS?

What is/are the advantage/s of using Google Forms to make an Online Enrollment System?
Objectives of the Study
The purpose of this study is to create a software that could make the process of enrollment convenient and easier. The researchers wanted to help the school administrator, to lessen the assigned works and to help the students to have an onlineprocess of registration. Moreover, this software can secure the data of the enrollees and can help give an accurate report of the enrollment. Furthermore, this website can provide a user-friendly enrollment system by allowing the old students, new students and even the transferees to access the Online Enrollment System.
Scope, Limitation and Delimitation of the Study
This study focused on the design and development of an Online Enrollment System of enrollees at Dr. Juan A. Pastor Memorial National High School for the Senior High School Department. This enrollment system is applicable for DJAPMNHS- Senior High School students only. The required information includes the student information, address, parent’s/guardian’s information and the consent form.
The proposed system is designed to accept personal information of the enrollees which includes the student’s email address, learner’s reference number and other private information.
The system will not include the subjects that will be taken by the students from the year the students enrolled.

Significance of the Study
This study is significant most especially to the students, parents and teachers of DJAPMNHS as this Senior High School Online Enrollment System provides an easy access for the registration and enrollment of students for the upcoming Senior High just by having the connection on the internet and encoding all the needed information on the said Online Application Form.

To the faculty and staff. The system will lessen the redundant and time- consuming enrollment record monitoring tasks of the faculty of the school. The system provides posting the names and level of students and automatically generates individual students’ information.
To the Registrar. The system will ultimately lessen the burden of the registrar in issuing enrollment form for retrieving and storing data purposes.
To the Adviser. Since the system provides list of students with health problems and other issues, this will help the adviser to identify students needing assistance and counseling.
To the Students. The development of the Online Enrollment System will make the enrollment process faster than the usual method of process and will consequently lessen enrollment time. The electronic database created with the system will eventually lessen the time.
To the Researchers. This study will enable the researchers to be more familiar in term as of the enrollment process of students particularly the transferees. Also, this will aid the developer to have more aptitude in computer programming and to have a supplementary enhancement in his skills in analyzing and organizing information.
To the Future Researchers. The study will serve as a ready reference for other researchers who may wish to conduct a similar system.
